Dave has fifty years in education including: 24 years as superintendent, as well as other positions in elementary, secondary, district and post-graduate education as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and university instructor. He currently serves as RESC Alliance Coordinator for six Connecticut regional education service centers.

Program Awards
The President of NEASS annually selects a prominent individual from their state who has made an impact on public education but who does not necessarily work directly in the schools. The recipient of the President’s Award is someone who is a strong advocate for public education and who understands the important role that public schools play in our society. Through their tireless efforts, they have made a significant difference in their community, state and/or New England public education.
The NEASS Executive Board annually selects a recipient for the Dr. Alice Duckworth Achievement is Education Award. Named after former Connecticut superintendent and longtime NEASS Executive Director, the late Alice Duckworth, the recipient of the Duckworth Award is an outstanding New England educational leader and strong advocate for public education who exemplifies Dr. Duckworth’s outstanding qualities of service to the community, students, the profession, and the New England Association of School Superintendents.
The NEASS Executive Board annually selects a recipient for the Dr. Lincoln D. Lynch, Jr. Career Achievement in Education Award. The award was established in memory of Dr. Lynch, former longtime NEASS Member, 28-year superintendent, as well as assistant superintendent, principal and teacher. The award recipient is a prominent New England educational leader and strong advocate for public education whose career exemplifies Dr. Lynch’s outstanding qualities of service to community, students, school leaders, and the New England Association of School Superintendents.
